Generations Security Consultants LLC, was founded by Alvin R. Jackson in
September 2016 he serves as its CEO. Alvin has over thirty-three years of security industry experience. It includes hands on- involvement in mostly every phase of physical security planning, training, design, risk assessments and evaluating security staff. Alvin represents the integrity, professionalism and experience that should be expected from a security practitioner. Alvin served as the Courtroom Building Security Supervisor and Facility Emergency Coordinator for the Baton City Constables Office (Baton Rouge City Court) until retiring March 2018. Alvin has performed physical risk assessments on numerous projects throughout Louisiana. His clients include corporations, places of worship, public institutions,
Childcare centers and court buildings. He completed the physical risk assessment of the Governmental Building (City Hall) of the City of Baton Rouge Parish of East Baton Rouge June 2022.
Alvin provides a high level of service to all clients and set the standard for excellence in physical security consulting. Alvin believes that emergency operations policies and procedures are essential for any facility. Alvin is a certified (POST) Louisiana Peace Officers Standard Trainer and FBI certified instructor. He holds active shooter certification from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. He completed certification requirements at New Mexico Tech in incident Response to Terrorist Bombing. Alvin attended and completed the U.S. Marshals Service Training Academy State and Local Courtroom Building Security School. He is a member of ASIS- American Society for Industrial Security.
Alvin is Certified-Active as a small Entrepreneurship with the Louisiana Economic Developments Hudson Initiative as well as the veteran initiative.
Generations Security Consultants gives back to the community by providing
security consultant services to non-profit organizations and places of worship on pro-bono or at a reduce cost. Alvin feels that when the elevator goes up that it’s his moral responsibility to send it back down to help others find their way up. GSC is an annual Bronze Sponsor for Volunteers of America South Central Louisiana Celebration for change.
Alvin philosophy is building security is not a one-time achievement; it is a serious and continuous goal that requires constant vigilance. Further, it must be a number one priority every single day to prevent a critical incident. The risk involved in building security operations are great and varied. The risk can never be eliminated but with proper attention they can be minimized. We must train and prepare ourselves today for security challenges tomorrow and all the days that follow.
